Bookmatching starts at the quarry. Consecutive slabs are sliced from a single marble block. Instead of polishing the same side of every slab, we polish opposite sides (Slab A is polished on the front, Slab B on the back). This creates a mirrored face-to-face effect, like an open book.
Not all blocks are suitable. Slabs must have strong, linear, or high-contrast veining (such as Calacatta Gold, Nero Marquina, or Arabescato) to create a clear mirrored pattern. White marbles with light veining do not produce the same visual impact.
